ONE Windows 11 computer will NOT connect to shared folders (other win11 systems in same office will!)

So... I know the newer version of Windows 11 have disabled some of the simple sharing, and even though this share is password protected, I still implemented some of the tricks to see if it will work. Nothing.

Did: SMB 1.0, allow insecure guest logins, tried to map network drive using IP address (pings it just fine on CMD), and even other tricks from various youtube videos. Nothing. Network name can't be found 0x80070043...

Getting extremely frustrating. This is for a remote client, so I am stuck using teamviewer on both machines.

As stated, 3 other Windows 11 machines all connect to the shared folder (on another Windows 11 system) just fine. ONLY this one will not. I have also reset windows (deleting all files) twice. Still no luck. Starting to pull my hair out.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

There was a thread recently about duplicate SIDs on multiple machines causing something similar. Since it's a name resolution problem perhaps something on the network and DNS side could be wonky like duplicate IP or MAC addresses?

Hit up your favorite AI with a description of the problem and it'll spit out a dozen things to check or do.

Been through the ringer with this computer. Spent way too much time on it. Old customer who is now remote from me - makes it tough since otherwise I would just go and reformat this system with my rufus win11 install and see if that helps.

Still nothing... watched like 4 other silly youtube videos all talking about the same few steps. What a serious PITA.

Update: Got it eventually. My eyes are bleeding so I cant remember the order of events.

Oddly enough, I was in the Administrator local account during some of this, and that wasn't working.... switched back to the users main account, and only connecting to the shared folder via IP address worked... but it worked.... so.... man I hope it stays working.

I did read a thread in a tech group on FB about "peer to peer/workgroup" issues after a recent Windows 11 update. Quite a few people in the thread scratching their heads. Can't remember the resolution....will try to find it later today.
