Newegg counters Amazon Prime with $50 Premier membership

+1 reps for posting that.
I was literally less than a minute from placing a rather large order with them when I saw this post come through on my feed.

In reading the fine print, shoprunner prohibits resellers from using the service. I know Amazon Prime also does not allow businesses, and will terminate your account if you over use it and they suspect business use. Are there any such limits with Newegg Premier? I can't seem to find any, but it is also not available on neweggbusiness.com.

Good to know about this new policy at Newegg, though I think it needs to be clarified if business purchases don't qualify. I doubt Newegg wants any high volume account using this that would cost them too much in "free" shipping, and they'll find ways to restrict high volume customers (certainly businesses).
Anyway, my real reason for posting is to say that I remember way back telling my friends about this new little website called Newegg I'd discovered, and they'd never heard about (I guess I'm admitting my age). I've always liked and recommended Newegg. We got a killer deal from them on USB thumb drives that we used to promote a special event and they worked out really well.
I never would have guessed back then that Newegg would grown as much as they have. Congrats to them...

Found it. So I clicked the link to sign up, and it then presents a terms and conditions link.

Relevant part:

"You may not register for a Premier membership if you are a business, or intend to use Premier benefits for commercial purposes."

I use prime for business purchases ALL THE TIME, for both my jobs personal and otherwise. Just spent like $8k there a couple weeks ago on a whole office full of new network infrastructure and parts and pieces, and then even faxed them in tax documentation to have the sales tax waived, and 0 problems.

Just an an FYI.

I don't buy much from Newegg these days after they burned me bad on a few RMA's, but when I have to I use shoprunner.
