New TP-Link Wireless N Router Issues

Replace the router first imo. I was looking for a replacement wifi card, salesman where I get my parts pointed me to a 14 dollar card usb deal. With my netgear router and those, I always get good throughput.

I've been having issues with everything, including my wireless N adapter, direct connection to the modem, even the old router hasn't been working right. Last night I talked to Charter and they "refreshed" the signal and the modem settings. It's working fast right now with my old G router. Even the adapter card is working properly. I'm going to return the router and get something else. The Asus routers look real slick. I bought their top-of-the line AC adapter for $100 on Amazon. I figured I might as well go all out on it since the computer cost so damn much. It's supposed to pickup signals from far away and have a nice interface.
