Being a senior member just means I have less of a life, not more knowledge.
That being said, I've never, ever found any difference between a cleaned and uncleaned registry regardless of the program used.
I have used CCleaner with great results, though not for the reasons that most people think of... To completely remove a program or drivers beyond what the standard uninstaller can I use CCleaner.
- Uninstall the program.
- Delete the "Program Files"\whatever directory
- Search in hidden folders for folders related to what is being removed.
- Once all files are gone, run CCleaner's registry cleaner and all remaining registry entries are history.
It works great.
