I recently, month or 2 ago, got Dream Theater's newest album to me it is thier worst but over all I still like it. I got the 3 disc CD set which the 3rd CD is instrumental of the 1st CD and I like it with out the lyrics better I think what I dislike is the vocal styling they use in some tracks parts of a few tracks. The 2nd CD is them doing some covers which are all fairly good. I listen to a mostly music from the many sub-genres of Metal, Dream Theater is considered Progressive Metal. I am just curious if anyone else likes them or even what music yall like.

You mean Kamelot? I have heard some of thier stuff its not too bad.

LOL yes thats it.

Guess I've been reading to much King Arthur and didnt know it!

aside from that I'm a big fan of COLD (hence the screen name), Pink Floyd, Flaw, AIC, etc.

I enjoy Vocal Trance, Classic R&B, Classical Music- and Italian Opera.

So- pretty much stuff no one listens to.

I listen to a lot of blues and rock. I still prefer the old 80s and 70s music - stuff like Megadeth, Metallica, Faith No More, Pantera, Sabbath, BLS, Ozzy but other than that my favorite band at the moment is a local talent names The Mighty Orq.

+1

(Need 20+ chars to post so.....2 guys walk into a bar.....one says ouch)

That 2nd guy must have no sense of pain :P

I kinda figured your Methical long before becuase of avatar also the name sounds like it too. Joseph I like some classical and opera just don't have any on CD or anything so never really listen to it much. I am now curious what Confused likes sense he won't tell us.

Here is a quick list of some of the artist on my iPod:
Alice in Chains, Allman Brothers, Beastie Boys, Blind Guardian, Blue Oyster Cult, Dream Theater, Gorrillaz, Iced Earth, Jane's Addiction, Kamelot, Kansas, KMFDM, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Metallica, Nightwish, Peter Frampton, Queen, Queensryche, Rammstein, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rhapsody of Fire, Savatage, System of a Down, Tom Petty, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I only have for Metallica the Black Album and earlier you know before they sucked. I have a somewhat eclectic taste I don't have much Rap or R&B as a lot of it doesn't appeal to me but I have a little in my music library.

My boss listens to almost nothing but the Eagles so I can barely listen to them and hey what about Journey and Foreigner I didn't list them doesn't mean I don't listen to them. I just gave a partial list of things that make up the largest percentage and such.

Shouldn't be hard to guess mine :) I mainly British and the New York music scenes. There is a energy coming out of London, Manchester and New York which dosn't seem to happen any where else. This could be anything from Simon and Garfunkel to Joy Division or the Smiths.

I also really like British punk but I love bands like the Ramones too.

WOW Dream Theater! Didn't expect to ever hear that name again. We use to see them in Old Bridge all the time - My band covered Images and Words back in high school, now I listen to mostly Bob Marley but when it comes to music, if it's musically good, I dig it - rap, rock, whatever...
