Mailstreet hosting and a sync issue

I have a client using Mailstreet as their email host. His complaint is if he replies to an email on his iPhone, he can't tell if he's replied to it in Outlook on his Mac and vise-versa.

Is there a way to allow him to see which emails hes replied to regardless of which device he replied on?

I believe this is a POP vs IMAP issue.

Yea definitely sounds like imap is needed.
