Weird Gmail/Contacts issue

A client recently created a 75 person distribution list to email friends/family about him changing his email address from one gmail account to another gmail account. About 40 of the emails bounced back. I think this was the receivers spam blocking. Which makes sense.

Oddly, afterwards he started getting text messages from his daughter that clearly were not from his daughter. A quick look at his daughters contact revealed that the contact info for all the people on the distribution list is now under her name. So, her contact info has 40 phone numbers and email addresses of the people that didn't receive the mass email.

Any ideas how this could have happened?

It's not a big deal as he can just delete her contact and create a new one, but I was curious and he was looking for how it may have happened.

None.

I realize that's not particularly helpful. I've been using Gmail almost since the day it was introduced myself, and have worked with it for heaven only knows how many clients. I've never encountered anything even vaguely similar to what you're describing.
