Does anyone know if logonerds provides a quality logo. I purchased their Professional Business Logo for only $47 ($37 with a coupon code I found online). This includes:
  • Web Ready Formats
  • Print Ready Formats
  • 6 Different Concepts
  • Free Revisions
  • Delivered in 3-5 Business Days
  • Satisfaction Guaranteed

When I receive the Concepts I will post them here.

if it works like any other logo site you will get a load of cr4p and the occasional good one, you then choose the design you like and fine tune it. You will decide you like it, pay, and in a few days change your mind again entirely.

and so it goes on, or is that just me?

I agree, also like 48hour logo, if you buy cheap you get cheap, so in order to gain/engage interest from quality designers you need to offer a fair price for them to think it's viable timewise and offer their services.

Thanks

I agree with the saying you get what you pay for but their portfolio looks like they do good work.

Look at their portfolio

Update

I just received their concepts back. Attached is the .jpg of the logos. I told them I wanted the symbols from concept 1, words/font from concept 4 and the color of concept 3. What do you guy thinks?

i see they cant resist putting a wrench in your logo as well. i had the same problem with alot of them on 48 hour logo.

so i have to wonder am i the only one who has never used a wrench to repair a computer?

Yea I have never used a wrench but I think it is the first thing someone thinks about when they see the word repair. Im not quite sure what 5 was supposed to be nor 6 except I see the wrench.

I agree about the wrench.

While it seems like it's the universal symbol for "repair" it just doesn't speak "computer repair" to me. LOL

Brandon, based on your own initial thoughts on the concepts I threw this together really quick just to give you an idea of what the final logo might look like. Plus I swapped out the wrench for something a little more suitable.

Sure, if you want to have the usb rather than the wrench here is the usb dongle as a transparent PNG. You can use it royalty free. It's one of my own vector images that i created. You can simply right click, "save picture as", send it to logonerds and make the request.

Brandon, I've debated on telling you this. I don't care for any of those mainly for the same reason I updated my own logo. Here are my thoughts:

1: I don't care for the clip art they are using. I don't know why, I just don't care for it. See if you can find some better images if you want to incorporate that. I do, however, like the usb dongle Simon gave you.

2: I'm not fond of the fonts they used. It doesn't seem like they really tried here. I know you didn't pay much, but they don't seem to have put forth any effort at all. There's no depth at all; it's just flat. It doesn't "pop" to me. I would recommend a more modern "rounder" font with some embossing, etc in photoshop.

I'm not real sure about your colors. I just went off your website. I am NOT a designer by any means. I just wanted to show you what photoshop can do in 5 minutes. Have a go at it. Also, the dongle needs to be faded some so the text is easier to read.

Thanks angry_geek on your input. I am going to see what their final product looks like since I have already paid. I'm looking for a font for computer repair to suggest to them, Can anyone recommend a good font?

Keep in mind the font needs to be easy to read quickly whether in print or online. I'd stay away from anything in cursive. Easy on the eyes, yet professional. No comic fonts.

Yes I definitely want to have something that will be able to be screen printed and embroidered, I have suggested changes and waiting on the next try.

Latest Update

Here is the latest one they have sent me, I changed the wrench to USB (which they messed up the symbols the first time), and removed the white spot on the laptop. How does it look now? Any color changes needed? I want royal blue or cobalt blue and gold/yellow but the shade doesnt matter too much to me. I think this one looks really good, but am open for suggestions.
