Just wondering what graphical environment fellow linux users here use for their personal machines. Feel free to include screenshots if you are so inclined. :)

I currently have 2 machines loaded with Linux. One is running PCLinuxOS (KDE) and the other is running the latest version of Ubuntu (Unity). I really prefer KDE over Unity but will probably stay with Unity (for now at least). Nearly any desktop can be used with the latest Unbuntu release. If you have the inclination(s) you can replace Unity with Gnome or KDE (as I read that some of you don't like Unity).

At my office I use PCLinuxOS on the laptop, at home I have Mageia with Gnome. The servers run Centos 6

No real favorite out of any of them, probably going to go back to Windows 7 on the laptop though so I have one windows computer in the shop.

Fedora 17 64 running LXDE on mine.

I run Xubuntu on my work laptop and Linux Mint with Cinnamon on the family computer.

Just for grins, I put wattOS on an old T22 thinkpad (900mhz P3 w/256 mb) a few months back. Runs like a champ!

That's been my experience, too. I've tried a lot of low-resource distros, but nothing beats wattOS for old computers.

enlightenment is my chosen desktop but I'm currently bouncing around distros

I messed around with E16 a few years back, and found it quite intriguing with a lot of potential. It was still quite young then, and wasn't really usable for me. I haven't tried it in quite a while, and was wondering how its progressed?

Care to share a screenshot?

Nice. LXDE is great, run it on my laptop. So lightweight, yet so functional. I also like the wallpaper. Wish I was wherever that is :) The weather is nasty here.

Well, I didn't want coffee to be the only one with a screenshot, so I'll add mine. :D This is my home desktop running XFCE.

Anyone else like to join in.....especially those using something unusual or an uncommon arrangement/feature?

.

This is a screen shot from years ago when me and Clem had first talked about doing a LXDE distro. I had since got pulled away from the project due to college and starting the business, but this is what I was working on and using at the time.

Now, I just use Linux Mint 11 with Gnome. Nothing special. Does what I need it too for the diagnostic machines and my main desktop. Kinda miss the days of customizing desktop environments.
