You guys are killing me with your 6 and 8 core CPU's! Makes my lowly G530 seem like a toy. Maybe I'm due for an upgrade :D
 
I've always been a Gnome fan from the very beginning. Just never liked KDE for some reason. That being said I'm not a fan of the default Gnome 3 desktop environment.
 
I have one Linux box(no monitor) I mainly use for data recovery work. It is ubuntu under the hood, but I just log in as root via ssh from either a mac terminal or putty from my windows 7 workstation.

Same here... I have a Linux box for my PBX running CentOS, no monitor, ssh in from one of my Win7 pc's w/ Putty.
 
I still use FVWM for my WM (no need for a DM).
Started using it 20 years ago and have my dotfiles just the way I want them.
Played with WindowMaker and Afterstep, and looked at pretty much all of the WMs and DMs at one time or another.
I'm stubborn though.
