I want an OLED for a PC monitor with extended warranty that covers burn-in.

Currently using a Dell 24" 1080p monitor. Ready for an upgrade.

Been drooling over the C2 42" but it's not available until May at the earliest and it will come with an older panel unless I buy it months later. Plus, it's $400 more than the C1 48".

Should I just get the C1 48"? It's $1,000 right now. That's not a bad price for such a sweet TV.

Problem: it's quite large.... is it too large? Will I hate it?

What do you think?

I have an 55in LG OLED TV and hooked my pc up to up. Way too large for me. I think the 48 inch would be too big as well. I also have a 42 inch Vizio TV that is not OLED, but don't mind the size of that. So if it were me, I would wait for the 42 inch if it were to be used for work purposes. The bigger size might be useful if you play games and watch a lot of videos, but they are heavy and take up a lot of space on your desk.

I personally don't know how I would use a monitors larger than my 16:10 24" display which I want to replace with a newer monitor of similar size but with some advanced features and color range.

I could get the 48" now if I can't wait and later sell it and upgrade. It may be a while before I can get the 42" with the new panel tech.

Could test the 48" and return it if it's too big. Luckily it's not a super big TV so it's easier to return to a store in my car.

I previously had a 27" 4K monitor that I sold. It had some image retention and was too dim for my preference. Definitely like that size.

I think 32" would be the sweet spot.

If I could have any monitor, it would be that sweet $3,000 on from Asus that uses miniLEDs and has a massive peak brightness and real HDR.

But, since it's Asus, it would probably develop issues and the warranty process/customer service would suck.

I thought about getting a 34inch ultrawide monitor. That would give me all the space I need to work on big spreadsheets or have multiple things open easier. I’m currently using two LG 4K 27inch monitors but the color range and accuracy isn’t the greatest.

The LG OLED TV’s are amazing to look at and well worth the money.

My problem with most monitors is that they aren't bright enough. I look at my 1,200 nit iPhone 12 Pro screen with hiDPI and look at other screens and they look like crap! So dim. Even the 500 nits display on my Legion 5 Pro laptop is too dim during the day.

I would stick at 27" 2k monitors and do dual or if you want to go bigger than 32" at 4k. Anything above that really just gets blurry unless you go with one of the few 8k screens which just laughs at your budget.

Anything over 27" i typically laugh at for a computer screen. Unless your desk is giant you sit to close to it.

Yea, I'd rather have a 27" or 32" 4K OLED or miniLED. They exist, but they're uber doober expensive.

Big fan of hiDPI and 48" might not have a good enough pixel density.
