I bought 2 of these $35 each having trouble getting the correct memory every piece of DD3 I put in it beeps

sk hynix 4 gb 1rx8-pc3-12800u

Anyone know what memory to get or if I can update bios or anything these are fussy computers wish I had never bought them

Do they work with any memory at all, even what came with them if any? Looking up the model number comes up with standard PC3-10600 or PC3-8500, but 12800 should clock down OK.
 
Check the density of the RAM you are using and what is installed. On the older systems that use "newer" style of RAM, that is often the #1 issue apart from timing issues where faster will not clock down.

I'm 99% sure you need low density chips, which most of the times means for example a high density chips will have 4 chips on one side only, whereas a low density may have 4 on each side, but that's not always the case and can vary between modules.
 
They came with no memory I was hoping to use some of my existing memory if I have to buy memory then try to sell unit
I won't be making much.
I knew they were fussy about memory but did not expect them to be this bad

Thanks for the great advice I will look for some double sided
