laptop HP 15-ab253ca windows 10 no touchscreen drivers

Have a 15-ab253ca laptop checked hp site no drivers for touch screen i am guessing no windows 10 support?.

There is a device in device manager that shows Touchscreen with an exclamation in a triangle tried update driver nothing found, tried windows updates nothing found then i tried snappy drivers nothing found and nothing on HP website either.

Tried the Intel serial IO driver still nothing...

Searching that model, It was shipped with Win 10.

yea strange it does not work since the 1709 update tried everything i could think of to get it to work.

Could be an unknown side effect of KB4074588.

It's a Windows issue. If you roll back to 1607 it'll most likely work. I've come across a couple HP laptops that had the same problem.

EDIT: You may be able to use 1703 but I'm not 100% sure about it.

I was working on a fairly new Lenovo yesterday same problem touch screen not working
I did a bit of Googling it said to try it in another environment like press F2 to get into Lenovo recovery mode or live Linux
it was a newby site and they were recommending a restore

I could never see any use on a laptop with touchscreen so did not pursue it, had too many other problems
Now I know the likely cause an update in Win 10

This is probably the known issue with the latest cumulative update about USB devices such as the mouse and keyboard not working. Discussed here:
