i just received an SEO tip that might help out new websites! Making a google coupon that alows them to print n bring in or receive it as a text forces google to crawl a website every 24 hours.

It adds the coupon to your map listing so as an added bonus you instantly have something the competition may not have when searching through it.

Google Places - Coupon

You'd be better off working on your site and using some joomla plugin in order to change the meta tags on each page. Appears that you have the same tags on each page.

I don't think the google coupon will help you in the line of SEO too much

Seems a lot of people are scared to research SEO as they belive it is a complicated and wasteful investment in their website (which is totally incorrect). Since you are on the subject, here are some quick and pretty easy SEO tips. They may seem simple and silly, but every bit helps, and these do.

1. Register your domain for a longer term - Search engines (especially google) like to see your domain name registered for a longer term (10yrs. is the max), it shows stability and longevity of a website.

2. Use tags on your images and name them correctly - some people tend to skip right over this, but using keywords on your images will help drive your traffic. Many people do image searches, and by not doing this you are missing out on those hits.

3. Add a blog to your website - Search engines like to see fresh content on your website, adding a blog and updating it 2-3 times a week will increase traffic.

4. Submit to local engines - Not only will this help draw local customers, but your site will look better having more quality link backs. It is simple and free to do.

Any suggestions on a simple method to add a blog to an existing site?

install wordpress using your hosting provider on a subdomain blog.yourdomain.com, and create an html link to it from your main site.

I agree with everything except number 4. Submitting to search engines will have no effect on your SEO. How would it provide back links?

Local search engines and websites, like Yahoo Local, Google Maps, & ThinkLocal.

If you are not aware on how backlinks can affect your site and your internet business' overall performance, then you are missing out on a lot of things. If you were to ask the successful internet marketers if they thought their online business would succeed without backlinks, you are most likely to get "NO" as an answer. This is why you should take some time off from your usual internet marketing strategies and focus on how to effectively build backlinks.

You should see my google analytics, it's full of stuff from my blog. I get 350 hits a month on just one blog alone about Comcast/Norton. It's huge. Not many calls, but it gets the hits in.
