Is it just me, or is business slow when it rains?

Just curious if I was the only one affected by rain . . .

Todays been the opposite for me, its piddling down and I've had 8 calls, normally a saturday is quiet for me so its a catch up day on paperwork

Saturdays and Mondays are typically our busiest days. I get tons of calls, but it seems that we have less people walking through that door on rainy days.

Not for me - Saturdays have always been very quiet, never understood why, so I use it as an admin day.

Sunday - Family time - No PC work no matter who calls!

Monday - Always very busy, I can book upto wed/thurs easy on Monday calls alone.

Sunday: Church and family. :)

I find that Mon and Fri are my busiest days. I occasionally take calls on Sat, but book them in for the following week. Sat is usually shopping day with the boss. Either that or agility competitions.

Sun is family day. (Usually we go agility training, sometimes agility comps, like tomorrow).

No calls taken - everything gets put through to the answerphones, and dealt with on a Monday.

No idea what my busiest day is, but it is probably Monday, not helped by the fact I am now stuck in college for several hours.

Saturdays used to my busiest day work wise but these days there is too much good rock clubs putting on decent events on Fridays so I tend not to work on Saturdays now.

I will work on Sat but I discourage it. I use it for studying, marketing, accounts etc.

Sunday I just don't do any call outs, but tomorrow got a busy day as I am away from Monday to Thursday so I need to do a lot of jobs tomorrow :(.

I notice I tend to go quiet when the weather gets warmer. The last week has been my quietest since December and I got no calls at all yesterday (a 2012 first).

At my last shop, we were fairly busy on the average day with both calls and walk-ins. College town...

...but a rainy day just about guaranteed we wouldn't see many walk-ins OR get very many calls. Don't know why that was. But it was a noticeable effect on every rainy day.

I can understand older people staying in when it rained, but the college kids are young enough they aren't afraid of the weather? And why would our *calls* decrease too, it's beyond me. Perhaps people were afraid the call would lead to them having to go out in the rain.

Didn't stop our business clients though... the show must go on!

Yeah, I think our calls stay about the same or increase on those days, but I think people are afraid of bringing their computers through the rain. With that being said, if Monday is clear, then we will be slammed.

When I wake up to rain and it rains all day long, my phone barely rings. I've always thought about this, funny this would be brought up.

Monday seems to be my busiest day but not by much. Friday is usuallypretty busy before 2-3 pm and it quickly dies off.

I am off all day Saturday and Sunday but on average I do not get a single phone call on either of those days. Sometimes I'll get the random call on Saturday but not every weekend. I live in a rural area in the South and I think most people still figure you won't be open on Saturday and for us, Sunday is church and I think most people expect that.
