Have a customer with a brother mfc-j430w. Everything prints perfectly in google chrome and word etc. She uses internet explorer primarily and it won't print right. It will spit out blank pages here and there or just print like the bottom of the page.

Ink levels and all that are good etc. and like I said prints everywhere else.

I already did the reset internet explorer to default to see if that would fix it and it still did not. :(

I did some searching to no avail. I didn't really know where else to look at for internet explorer. It is version 9, I thought about maybe downloading 10 to see if that would change anything. Any other hints or advice?

Thank you

Bring up IE and then go to a page she would like to print. Click on FILE (make sure the MENU bar is enabled)

The click PAGE SETUP, then check "print background colors and images", click ok. Try to print that page and see if its any different.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked that and it was not checked. I checked it. It didn't seem to make a difference.

It was basically just showing headers and footers.

I ran the windows repair tool from tweaking.com

I just did the reset internet explorer from there that runs and checks all the .dlls etc.

I did that and a reset of temp folder/files and that did the trick.

It was along the lines of this:

Thank you again for your reply.

I think i had an issue like this when IE upgraded to version 9 badly.

If it is IE 9 try uninstalling it from the add/remove-updates area and then test if IE 8 prints okay? After that perhaps you can try to reapply the update and see if it sticks?
