I want to donate some items to charity benefits both for a good cause and to market my business. I'll be giving $25 gift certificates but what else could I add if I wanted to out together a basket that don't cost much?

Edit:

Here's what I am going to put together for my 1st gift basket for a cancer benefit:

1) $25 gift certificate (a "real" one from VistaPrint made with premium 100lb stock)

2) Anker SoundCore Bluetooth Speaker (~$24)
  • Bought w/ Amazon credit card for 5% back
  • No-rush shipping for $5 credit for luxury beauty
That alone is a ~$50 value.

3) Perhaps some treats for filler

Would be nice if I had additional marketing materials to add (pens, water bottle, etc.)

Can do vouchers good for a computer repair. Such as one for a virus removal/cleanup... or for other services that are your time. Can do them for technology consults or even one for some computer tutoring.
You can also throw in refurbed laptops for charity auctions.

Those are some of the things we've done for local charity events.

I want to do a gift cert for 25 so that way I will gain a new customer and get paid something. Lots of businesses do gift certs like that.

A refurbished laptop would be too expensive to donate. I am low income so can't afford to be extravagant. I would consider possibly doing this with a cheaper laptop if the benefit was expected to be huge so I would get a lot of exposure.

In the gift basket I could include a flash drive since they're very cheap.

If you're looking for little "basket stuffers" that are tech related...

  • Wireless mouse
  • USB Stick
  • USB Charging Kit (Car or home)
  • Portable Power Bank (Doesn't have to be a pricey one)
  • Earbuds
  • Bluetooth Wireless Speaker (Again, doesn't have to be pricey/fancy)
  • Roku Express (They're like $25-30 and turn a regular into a Smart TV, for people who still don't have them)
  • Google Chromecast (Similar to above)
  • Google Home Mini (Don't know about US but in Canada right now you can get them on sale at $30, neat little device)
  • Phone Cases (though you'd have to know the model or take a guess, latest iPhone/Android device? Or just a universal screen protector)
  • Tile (You clip it to your keys and such and it allows you to find them)
  • Laptop Sleeve (cheap and universal, based on size)
That's all I can think of at the moment, hope it helps. :)

Don't always think "computer" and your business. Do you have a client you could include a gift certificate for? For example, a local coffee shop or restaurant. You might be able to get that at a discount and the client will love the exposure. That makes it personal too. Include stuff you like in your community. I did something like that and including a note like "I love Alchemy coffee so I'm glad to share it with you. It's a great local business we support. I appreciate you bidding on this item and supporting other local businesses."
