I always wondered why price of nuts got so high

Whoa, no way. The lady friend and I were completely hooked on the cranberry almond mix from Stop and Shop but it was surprisingly expensive... maybe the CIA will step in and help out.

California grows tons of almonds and with the drought the growers cut down acres of trees due to lack of water.

We've had similar issues here in NZ with avocados.
Thieves stealing them and making the price go to about NZ$6 for one avocado!
