Had 3 of these in one week, all with the same issue, left side screw holes in plastic bottom base break off. So the left hinge starts pushing through top when you try to close and in one case the lcd cable pulled out.

Only source is some refurb guy on Ebay for $90 + $12 shipping wtf?

Chassis damage on some laptops requires the same skill that a good auto body mechanic has. As long as you have the tools and skill and the customer is willing to spend a bit more, you can fix anything.

I cant tell you how many laptops I have fixed that nobody else would touch. :p
 
yea fixing it is no problem, just feel bad for the customer that they have to pay $100 for a piece of plastic

btw just got a g7-2215dx in a little while ago, same issue and same left side damage :mad:
 
These models should be easy to epoxy/jbweld/hotmelt/bolt. The only time you don't get away with that is certain IdeaPads. Where there is nothing to attach anything to.
