Is the top keyboard Assembly cover, as HP love to embed keyboards into it overall. Cant be bothered melting current plastic joins just to remove keyboard.

Anyone know of where I could get the full assembly in AUS - fleabay only has keyboards - I need full assembly.

Sorry, cant help you.
But I did talk to my outsource guy and he told me (with respect to his Chinese English and the fact that he had the phone on speaker in a busy workshop!) that you can remove the keyboard without melting anything?
Have you had a look at DoitYourselfTube.com? Might be a video on how to do it.

lol no thanks Barcelona but keyboard cannot be removed, has plastic molding points in various sections within the top cover casing to hold the keyboard to the top cover.
