Help with DDRescue

Actually I have recovered quite a bit using getdataback. I just have not recovered the last and most important directory which is 142 gigs approx. I'll have to just negotiate a fair agreement that's all...

Have you confirmed that all the files that you copied off with GDB all open?

Yes I have tested the files and they opened. The thing is when the drive chokes and getdataback asks me to continue or cancel in 9/10 times I just get zeroed files. That said, the odd times it does go through and sometimes I don't get asked at all to skip and it "just works." Fortunately by turning off the drive and trying again after it has cooled down I have had some success. Also, it WAS copying those directories without issue but it was SOOOOOOOOOOO slow (over a period of 26 hours it copied 1.5 gigs) that I had to stop because I have 142 gigs to copy.
