[SOLVED] Help Finding DC Jack For Inspiron 14 7460

Solution: tried multiple DC jacks and just kept having issues. Customer replaced the laptop.

Bought a new DC jack off eBay and it was way too short.

Bought a used one and the system is still having issues.

Where can I find a brand new one that's the right everything?

The original has a length of approx. 258mm.

Dang, that's $25 w/ S&H. And it's used. I am messaging eBay sellers to see if I can find a new one for a decent price.

Look at the big picture. The difference between a computer that doesn't work and one that does is only $25. That already seems like a decent price to me.

Move the new jack from the new cable to the old cable. That's why we have soldering irons.

You do ask some weird questions.

There should be another part number on the cable such as:

DC Power Jack 0JM9RV JM9RV DC30100YE00​

Doing a search by that part number should give you better results.

So what makes you thinks it's that part. You should be able to do a continuity test it. Both the old and "new"
