Just kind of a general rant here I guess. It seems like google chrome is the worst browser when it comes to spyware/junk changing the homepage. I thought chrome had some sort of sandbox protection built in etc. If it does, it doesn't seem to do much in my opinion. I love chrome, but all my customers seem like they get these constant toolbars etc. and home page changed like every other day for some. The sandboxie program works wonders for all this, but some people can't grasp how it works. I just wondered if there's anything else you guys do to try to help this matter at least a little bit.

I've been seeing this "delta search" come up a lot in chrome lately too.

forgot to mention I have been putting the google chrome adblock on for most people too. I haven't really been able to determine yet if that's helping these matters.

As far as I've seen, people aren't getting these things "through Chrome". They're getting them by installing something else and that other software's installer is adding crapware to the system. It's not Chrome's fault if the user consents to adding a toolbar to it.

Yeah you are definitely right, I guess it just seems like chrome is getting bombarded as bad as IE does. It just seems recently it's gotten worse. I really didn't have these issues for the longest time with it. Maybe it's just the particular customers. :D

I'd say it's more of a matter of, when installing the crapware (outside of the browser), more crapware is now cross-browser compatible. You used to just get an IE toolbar, now you get a CRX and an XPI at the same time.

This is a little bit like the "Apples don't get viruses" argument... it's not that they couldn't, just that lately they're popular enough to warrant more negative attention.

Normally, Toolbars are optional add-on that gets installed on the computer when you install programs to stop this simply uncheck the box that installs the toolbar.
