good computer image software

Hello fellow Tech.

I have write a post here before and get a good result who have help me, years ago I had with my friend(siltent partner) a Tech company in small town(1800 pp) but we closet that company and I got hired in Big company who serve office furnature, Office accessories, pens, copy paper, books and more. We have 20 stores around iceland. I work in a headquarters who monitor everything, from IBM 4840 old Pos (winxp) to newest servers. My question is, We need a good Computer Image software, I mean that we can build one computer from top with recommend software and take image trough internet,external hdd or other, and collect them together in one place and put them back to 1-x computers if we need them, We need ofcourse to have diffirent image for diffirent purpose, one for Pos, one for staff and so one. I am not talking about Disk clone or disk copy. What is best solution for this? What do you recommend about best software?

So do you mean backup software that does image based backups?

This topic has been covered over 'n over 'n over ' over here...on a monthly basis. If you're talking about image based backups, I like StorageCrafts products. There are many similar products...almost like antivirus or ATV vs nVidia graphics cards...naturally there are fanboy camps with all of them. Just a matter of try a few out for yourself and see which one you like the best.

I mean we full install OS, full Update, Office and required software to one computer, and take image backup of this computer to use later on or to other computers, We can store this images to HDD to use later and restore these image trough local net or hdd with boot disk or something. just basicly collect image who we can put on computers later with diffirent setup. I hope I put this clear and correctly from me regards

ImageX is by far the best I found for Windows Systems.

There are so many image backup tools. I use Acronis True Image and second best is Symantec Ghost.

+1 for Acronis Snap Deploy. I personally use this software in an enterprise environment. I set one computer up exactly the way I want and then make an image that I can deploy to an unlimited number of computers. Zero issues, easy to use and a huge time saver.

Ghost 2003 will do this for you.... apply all your updates then add the other drive and boot up to Ghost 2003
