Firefox Crashing More

I've noticed the same thing along with random freezing. RAM usage is going up and up too. I'd hate to have to switch to another browser as Firefox does everything I want it to.

I was a die-hard FF user for years, then switched to Chrome about a year ago and never looked back!

I really liked Chrome (when it would work for me). I was pretty much forced to switch to FF because Chrome would crash on me at least twice a day. I have been using FF for a couple of months now and it has only crashed once I believe. To answer the OP...FF has been working fine for me.

FF Works good for me also, I have maybe had a crash 1 or 2 times relating to Flash Player crashing.

Sometimes I find FF using 700-800MB when I leave Last.fm running in a tab for days, and then I restart FF.

FF 6 and now 7 have been rock solid for me in XP (10 add-ons and all plugins except flash disabled) - not one crash in recent months and rarely goes above 400MB.

If you've been upgrading (in place) from FF 3 onwards then it may be time to do a full FF reinstall from scratch - or at least try a new profile with only the most common/necessary addons and see if that helps.

Firefox has always been my fav browser. Chrome comes as close second. I just like the way FF renders the page. Plus the extensions are brilliant. Chrome is good as well, but some parts of it are not to my liking.

I've been wondering if others are seeing this. There are days when it seems nearly unusable.

I actually find myself using IE9 once in a while!!

weird.

I seem to be the only computer guy that uses 3 browsers depending on what im doing.

I use IE9, FF, and Chrome.

IE9 works best with Logmein, and misc tools

FF is more user friendly, but im tired of the delays...just stops at a webpage takes a couple of seconds then releases. I dont have that problem with IE and chrome.

I also use 3 browsers. For a long time I was really happy with Chrome but then about version 16 it started doing a really poor job rendering pages. Firefox is slower for sure but I never have an issue with page rendering. Meanwhile I use IE9 for "official" Microsoft or on-line banking type business.
