Curios what everyone is doing for Fall/Winter Clothing.
I need to replace some of my stuff and so I have plans to get a Mountain Parka, Down Vest and Down Jacket. I already got a dress Jacket for the cool weather and a new Hoodie.
I'm also considering a fleece jacket (like a hoodie style, small but warm) but not sure if its overkill. Here in Canada on the West Coast I'm not sure what to expect this winter. We had a heat dome, drought, so who knows what winter has in store.
Finding good prices is nearly impossible in Canada, and Amazon.ca seems rife which direct from China garbage. I think I'm going to import from Japan again. I've seen all of the above items for $36, $20, $25 with most items being either new or nearly new. Value Village used to be an option some years but prices have gone through the roof.
My mom mentioned Mark's Work Warehouse, but $60 seems to high for plastic clothes. I know its not just "plastic" but the market on what is essentially refined plastic is a bit much. I also haven't noticed a quality increase either, zippers still break or fail, so it's not like I am buying peace of mind. At $60 or so "on sale" my winter wardrobe is going to eat through my funds. I'm not rich. :/
I managed to to get a good deal on my past Japan purchases. A Lenovo Tab 2 Android Tab for $20 as I'm in need of a tablet and don't have a few hundred to put on a high end and most of the low end is garbage. I previously got a Toshiba DyntaTab S50 10" Windows Tab for Library apps for $40. I also got a new Sharp Phone for $55 (new for me) Aqua Sense 2. It has IGZO panel which is interesting as I was completely unaware that panel type existed. Too much fun.
