Client has issues with WiFi printer being offline requiring pressing the buttons on the front the printer, or opening the printer settings in Windows to get it to connect. It also effects the scanner functionality. They usually can get it working but it has become a nuisance.
It worked fine up until the last few weeks.
Issue also occurs when printing from phones using WiFi direct.
Printer does not have an ethernet port and is used by multiple Windows PCs.
I was thinking of running a long USB printer cable and sharing the printer from Windows but that seems like it just make more or different issues.
A Google search suggested giving it a reserved IP address but I don't think the IP address has ever changed.
Is this just one of those cases where it makes more sense to get a new printer?
