Dropbox referral thread

Stealing the idea from [H]ard forums, thought this might help all of us that use dropbox, but haven't maxed out our free space yet.

To start, if you don't know what dropbox is, or why you'd want to use it, here is some research material:

Drop box is a filesyncing application that runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and even has mobile apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry, and third-party apps for windows mobile.

Now, the purpose of this thread is to help us all get the maximum alloted free space via referrals and tips. To start, go here to learn how to gain the current maximum of 16gb. Remember, signing up with a referral link will gain you an additional 250mb free space to start, along with the person that referred you. You'll next want to create an .edu email address if you don't already have one to increase the amount of space you get per referral.

So now we've got the hows and the whys out of the way, lets get on with helping each other out!


After 32 referrals, you'll cease to gain any benifit/free space so starting with 32, if you haven't referred anyone yet, you can subtract how ever many referrals you have listed here and once you reach 32, we'll move on to the next person on the list.

Please post your referral link and keep it updated with how many referrals you have left. When you hit your limit, (8GB or 16GB) please remove your link (and/or PM me) so the next person can get some referral credit. I will keep this post updated with the list of upcoming users links. Please let me know when you reach your referral cap.

apparently Dropbox won't accept the australia.edu one due to abuse

That figures :S If anyone finds another way to get a free .edu email address, please share As for the MLM, I guess it does kind of resemble it. Seems to be working well on the forum I got the idea from, but they do have a much larger userbase. Would it help if we limited the number of referrals before moving on to the next one somehow? Or figuring out a way to rotate them?
