DriverForge its a simple utility that will install drivers in compressed/uncompressed format automatically. Using DriverPacks compressed drivers together with DriverForge gets it done. Click Start and enjoy the automatic driver install.

NOTE: sorry I'm new to the forums and can't post links, just google it.

Thanks for the tip. Been meaning to try this instead of manually installing all the drivers. I think it's about time I do it.

Hey guys,

I'm the author of DriverForge. Version 4.3 is just released and the main function added was an internal driver registry import. The program used to use a third party tool (actually two of them, one after the other). I hope the the new gui and functionality will help... I also removed the ability for more formats. It didn't seem anyone was using it.

Have fun!

Thanks for the heads up - just downloaded it. Still struggling a little with "how to use", but coming together. Is there a Cliff's Notes version for those of us new to it?

Thanks.....
Steve

Yeah sorry about that. My next revision will be a little easier to setup. v4.4 is hopefully out next week.

We'll see though... Time permitting.

v4.4 is up. You can specify CD\ in both DriverExtract and 7zLoc for the current directory that DriverForge is being run from. Check the change log for other updates.

kickarse,

At the risk of being nominated "maroon of the month", I can't locate the change log on Sorceforge.

I really love the program, just no understandinf \D.

Thanks again.....
steve

I'm glad you said that steve, as I can't find the change log either :p

The older you get, the easier it is to "step out" and risk looking like an idiot.

..and I'm OLD!!!

I just wanted to post a quick "2 thumbs up" for DriverForge + Driverpacks. I used them for the first time this week, and all that was cloudy is now clear. Thanks to the authors!
