as per creating the user profile from some very limited looking around and testing it appears that using "runas /user:username <program>" (I used cmd as the program) causes at least part of the user profile to be created, only it does require a password on the account to run. I was able to see the the directory for the account setup. hope this might help
Datagrab doesn't seem to backup Firefox and Chrome profiles, will this be included in a future version? Or does this already include them and I'm missing something?
Just uploaded D7 6.1
Among the new features (related to this thread):
The big thing is that now there is never the need for you to either create or login each profile before restoring data!
- DataPut now creates new user accounts and logs in to each one automatically to properly create the user profile before data restoration.
- DataGrab now backs up Chrome Profiles (so of course DataPut would restore them.)
- Fixed an issue with unnecessary skip/cancel prompts while DataPut is transferring XP data to a Vista/7 system.
- Fixed an issue where DataGrab doesn't backup Firefox profiles to the right directory. (so now DataPut can restore them.)

Just uploaded v6.2 including:
* Fixes to DataPut
* New DataMig functionality!
The DataMig tab is short for Data Migration. It functions like DataGrab/DataPut but rather combines the two operations in to one.
Purpose: for migrating data directly to a fresh install from either an old hard drive slaved to the PC, or from the \Windows.old folder (the backup created by Vista/7 installer when you don't first format the drive.)
This cuts the backup / restore process time in half, as you are only copying data once. Naturally this is only good for those situations where you have allowed Vista/7 setup to upgrade or otherwise create a backup (Windows.old) folder, or where you are installing Windows on a new hard drive and can keep the old one as-is to recover/transfer data from.
Like DataPut, DataMig will also create new user accounts and log them in before restoring data, and it can also migrate data to differently named user accounts.
I have made DataMig a paid only feature as well as DataPut, to thank existing registered users for their support and in the hopes that more people will consider registering D7 - I need all the help I can get with my upcoming lawsuit over D7!
