It's a cracked, modified version of Vista. Its making the rounds like a legitimate version, but thats because most torrent users are just pirates and they want to believe its ok to use something like this.

The idiot offering to install this stuff is just begging for a raid from the FBI.

We got a guy here on Long Island offering upgrades to Windows 7. $50 and done in an hour.

Bob is an old friend of my in-laws and has been fixing their computers for years.

Very nice guy, sometimes he will come back day after day to try to fix the same problem. I see that as "dedication".

(He actually is a nice guy)

Had one today:

CL-harddrive-small.jpg

Customer paid a guy $120 for a used 70GB hard drive, since new drives were hugely expensive, plus an hour of the techs time ($20) to replace a dead 120GB drive.

Superglue ladies and gents... Gawd I hate some people. Cash only sale, disconnected cell number. Poor guy was spitting nails.

Classic!

Don't have too much sympathy with the customer though, if he's only paying $20 an hour for labour did he really expect competent service?

As for being on Technibble it wouldn't surpirse me, there's a lot of them out there these days and it wouldn't surprise me if he's "in da house". :(

Didn't have much (some, but not much) sympathy for him either when i charged him to get the data off and a new hard drive... It shows that you get what you pay for. I'm more upset that these guys are dragging the names of our business down.

I've also heard of some tech in my area doing on site DC repair jobs with superglue - could be the same crackhead. Ah, to think that my whole truck and kit could be replaced with a screw driver set and superglue... If I ever find the guy, he'll learn exactly how bad superglue is.
