Nobody monitors those posts seriously, no wonder those posts pass for ads.

Yes, we noticed a big increase in the past couple of weeks too. We used to see almost half of what we see now, but I am sure many will fade away. Here is another idiot from tonight:

Are there now 14 or 15 pages in this thread? I click on "last page" and I'm sent to page 14, but I can see a 15th page in the list. Even when I click on "15," I stay on 14. Weirdness...

Update just after posting: OK, now I'm the first post on page 15... whatever.

A post was probably deleted by a moderator for some reason. It screws with the page count.
 
I'm tempted to just start bringing the "I'll fix anything for $35" guy a case packed full of all the defective items accumulated during the course of business, and make *him* dispose of it...

Wanted Fair paying job!!!! (Anywhere!!!!)

I just want a good job. One where I can afford the basic necessaties in life. I would like to pay off my college loans to if thats possible. I will do almost anything except whore myself. I just want fair compensation for what it is I am doing.

If its hard work in a warehouse i want 30,000. I think my back is worth at least that much. If its light office work with some phone calling ill take 25,000 a year. Please don't make me shovel s h i t for 10,000 a year. I can't even afford bread on a salary like that.

LOL!!!! I need to post that one in the urban survivalism forum I'm on. A BIG topic there is how modern Americans are basically worthless to any rational employer, because they want to be paid beaucoup money for doing nothing. While inflation IS a problem, people just have unrealistic expectations. Yeah, I will rush to hire the guy with a useless humanities degree and the $100k of college loans he's attached to, AND a big chip on his shoulder. Heck, just rob a bank, I hear prison is still free for the inmates, and the taxpayer picks up the tab.

"alloutahateraid69"???? I think it's funny that so many of the younger generation will never deign to use a cell phone for TALKING, no THEY will always text at 25 cents a pop. That's where you get these crazy bills you see on the news from, some moron will get a new cell and text up a storm and act surprised when the bill is 90 pages long. Then there's the girl who got arthritis in her thumbs from texting. :p I probably need to start up a Hateraid distributorship, I could make a killing! :D

Craig's List should be renamed "Slave Labor Listings". The worst is film business jobs. I constantly see ads looking for sound editors, Final Cut Pro editors, After Effects editors and the like, with pay of basically $10 a hour. AND they are looking for someone with their OWN equipment, a 4 years degree, years of experience, etc, etc. Why would someone buy $15,000 worth of equipment (that will slowly become obsolete) to struggle in this business? Believe it or not there ARE people whoring themselves out in order to "build a resume" -- trouble is indie productions are still NEVER going to have the budget to pay anything more than "slave labor" rates. I don't know how people survive in the indie film business.

This is why I am working towards doing computer repair.
