I've just got a new TV and I'm looking for Bluray/HD-DVD player recommendations for my HTPC. I've tried VLC and PowerDVD but was just wondering what other players were available?

I've tried The Lost Boys on bluray which looks immense at 1080p and plays perfectly :D But Casino Royale on Bluray is almost double the bitrate and seems to stutter a bit. I'm sure the PC is upto standards - E6300, 2GB, ATi 3600 and the CPU sits at around 40-50% when playing it. Any ideas how I could improve it?

I think you can get a better video card as I don't think that one supports hardware acceleration. I might go on up to 3+ GB of RAM as well and then which version of PowerDVD are you using as there are versions designed for use with Blu-Ray as they for one enable the hardware acceleration.

Just a side note I prefer WinDVD to PowerDVD thanks to the "free" version I got on my dell laptop which constantly tells me to plug my laptop in during DVD playback which is the most annoying thing ever.
