Hello all!

For the past couple weeks, I've been having a lot of trouble with the sound in my laptop. The sound from any/all programs doesn't really keep up with the video (if it's a video file) or it's generally just glitchy and doesn't flow. This is with streaming audio, video files, music files, anything. Occasionally it will work for 10-15 seconds at a time in-sync, but not always. I've tried searching on the forums for the solution, but it's rather vague so I didn't find what I was looking for.

I have tried running a virus scan with no luck, as well as a full scan with Ad-Aware SE. I've tried playing a music file with all other closeable apps closed, but the problem was still there. Even on a reboot just closing out every little applications I could on startup didn't work. It's really quite disappointing! I don't remember anything specific happening around the time it stopped working, but my computer as a whole seems a little slow recently. It's almost been a steady decline since I first got my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

You probably DO have Rogueware but these days Ad-Aware does NOT cut it! I highly suggest you perform a scan with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (available on Download.com).

Good luck with it !
