I replace the hard drive but the problems persist. Memory and hard drive pass all diagnostic testing. Also system keyboard and mouse works fine but when I try to install windows 7 pro to the hard drive the keyboard and mouse no longer functions.

Note: all help are highly appreciated.

How do you know the keyboard and mouse work fine if you are not getting past the two error messages you mention? Do you mean when you are installing windows again?

Have you confirmed the hard drive (Original one) is set correctly in the boot order and not disabled? The hard drive must be registering in the bios otherwise you couldn't start to install windows on it (assuming you got as far as choosing where to install?)

If you boot from a linux disk I am assuming you can see the hard drive okay?

I know the mouse is working fine because when I did a diagnostic both mouse and keyboard was operational. The hard drive shows up fine in the BIOS and it also past the diagnostic test both long and short. I even bought a new hard drive for testing purposes but am having the same problem when trying to install windows. I also change the sata cables but the problems persist.

Note: I have managed to get reed of the PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable error message
