Hi All,

I've been going nuts over this customers computer.

If I play a 1080p video in youtube full screen it stutters. It's got 3GB ram, dual core processor, ATI Radeon 4200 HD, enough to play HD no problem, as well the customer said it USED to work fine.

I've tried updating flash, reinstalling it, updating firefox/IE (it does it in both), I've disabled startup programs, killed running processes, I don't see anything running in the background that would hinder the HD playback, I've also tested the hard drive to make sure it wasn't dying. I tried doing a N&P but he doesn't have a product key (custom made 3 years ago), the key that I got from the registry doesn't check out for reinstalling Windows, so I'm currently restoring the image I took, but I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it but still no luck.

He managed to find the product key he was told was his for Windows XP Pro, I tried reinstalling windows and entering it but it rejected the key. Anyone know of a way of checking the validity of a product key?

Have you checked the graphics drivers? seems odd that it use to work, could be a new graphics driver update interferred with something, try reinstalling or going back to a previous version of the driver.
