Black Screen With Mouse- urgent

That's what I thought. Still nothing. I really want to just reload it, but man I'd love to figure out a fix to this. There isn't many times after spending this long on something that you wouldn't run across something to fix it. :(

LOL, I know the feeling! I would disable everything to bare bones in logon, services and same with drivers then do the bootrec stuff again from a erd disc or windows disc

Trust me. Just reload it. I had a customer with this problem who ended up buying a new PC instead of me fixing it. He said I could keep the old machine so I spent my spare time going at it. I, like you, hate to be beaten but I had to concede defeat on this one. I tried all the fixes imaginable. Many hours of my life that I will not get back.

If I come across the issue now I instantly tell the customer it's corruption that cannot be repaired and a re-install is required. Saves all parties time and money.

^^^^^this. At the end of the day you're running a business to earn money and as much as its a pride thing you have to do what is right for your business and your client at that point in time based on many factors.

My experience is if after all is said and done, if you still can't boot to safe mode your in trouble:(
