So I was removing a clients heatsink to get to the cpu (rocking it back and forth to prevent "yanking" the chip off) but ended up bending the pins anyway and now I have an AMD 4200+ X2 chip that's got some pins bent this way, and the other way if you understand what I mean. Siome pins have bent straight down.
I've been trying to straighten the pins with a flat head screwdriver, a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil and a credit card to keep track of the rows etc... But it's quite bad. No pins have been clipped off (yet!) but I'm having a very difficult time with this.
If anybody has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! Or maybe there's some sort of device I can buy to help me fix this?
Thanks,
Majestic
