Best (disks) for fileserver?

If you think about it, The best disk to use in a RAID is a spare

At some point it just doesnt matter as long as your using a decent disk. They all fail sooner or later.

Here are the results of a 5 GB test on the network, the computer I tested on has os on an SSD and the server has regular disks (7200 rpm i think). I tested both against the server and a NAS and the speeds were the same . Whare are your takes of the speed, suppose the server disks are bottlenecking network? Read is much faster than write as you can see.
