Client wants to utilize teams/sp to receive large video files from external members engaged in marketing. I explained to him the the SP storage allotment is not meant to store or receive large video files for long term storage considering how large the video files could get. It will clog up the remainder of their 500GB of SP storage out of a total of 3.5TB.
I advised that we receive the files and store them locally on the in house server which is mainly used to host Quickbooks desktop data.
He said that external members would need access to that data and be able to add to it (like FTP). Obviously I'm not going doing the FTP route or the VPN route for external users and large files.
I'm thinking the better option here might be utilizing dropbox and dropbox's file request feature. (https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-file-request)
I don't know exactly how large these files are going to be but they will mainly be used for storage of these video files which will likely also be uploaded to youtube so the data will amount to being dormant but important.
Any ideas?
