Download and run WhyNotWin11 (open source) to get the exact reasons why it can't currently upgrade to 11. It might just need a BIOS update to allow TPM 2.0 in the CPU to be enabled, or an OS install with UEFI/GPT.

Even if you still want to upgrade your hardware, this will come up again for customers so you should understand it.
 
After seeing all the issues that the 13900K/KF and 14900K/KF's are having. This deal wouldn't even be on my radar anymore.

TBH I never saw an image of the internals and it did not state card size? Is not really customisable with the DELL design factor either.
As @GTP stated if you are unhappy send into for a refund for item as not expected, going to have a hard time I think though.

I just feel like an i9 with no cooler is not good ... and a high performance 9070 doesn't look like this it looks like this

Yep, you have a point though that is their advertising "high performance" is pretty ambiguous. So in regards to cooling that heatsink has no fans at all, DAYUM! I would try and refund, I take back my comment looks good, did not realise it was a DELL proprietary system. With their annoying form factor designs.
 
Yeh ... I'm still considering whether I'm going to return it or not. Yes it is kind of clunky but I needed to get rid of my Dell points so I guess the question is ... is it worth $1000? Because I don't think I'm going to get my points back if I return it since they were expiring that same day.

Might just yolo it and see how it goes.
 
Grab a case, PSU, CPU cooler, compatible MB, and gut the Dell when the warranty expires. LOL
That is what I did with my old q6600 Dell years ago.
 
Is everyone convinced that because it's not a full length GPU and is relying on the case fan(s) to move air across the CPU cooler, that it won't perform as well as a bigger GPU card and a fan attached to the CPU cooler?

Maybe it's time to get some benchmark tools and beat the sh!t out of it??

All I'll say is that I have never received a Dell (and, I hasten to add, a number of other brands, too) that has not simply worked, and worked well, as it was configured by the manufacturer. I had one early laptop (not Dell) that liked to overheat. Since then, nada.

This stuff is not rocket science and I don't know of a single major maker that doesn't know exactly what's needed to keep their hardware running and running well in 99.9999999% of situations.

I'd stop worrying about what you think should be there and just start using the thing. You should have more than sufficient time within the "return for refund" window to determine whether you actually want or need to do that. If it's a happy camper, and so are you, both are likely to remain that way for a very long time to come.

But, in my experience and observation, virtually all of that "lowest cost crap" just keeps going and going and going for years and years and years.

The sole exceptions I've seen have been unwarranted carelessness or outright abuse that broke things, but "the guts" have been like the Energizer Bunny.

Those who want custom builds should get them. Those who don't, shouldn't. I've worked with both and don't find one superior to the other from a functionality and service life standpoint.
 
Talking to you on my new Dell now... it's fine I guess I'll keep it ... the computer is no doubt worth $1k so I just got to stop whining about it.
 
Physical size of GPU is not important other than what options for replacement/upgrade are compatible as sometimes what is in there is because its what size the case and form factor allow beyond that no matter size performance for a GPU should be relatively the same for all variants of that model besides overclocking and ram differences in models.

The CPU would me slightly concerning but looking at the size of the passive cooler and the proximity of the fane I suspect it has been designed with that in mind though I would think a shroud is missing that helped channel the air.
