Been in the market for a new PC for Work

I've been running my first generation Ryzen 7 build from the fall of 2017. I just haven't had a reason to upgrade. Most of my gaming is done on switch, PS5 or my CRT / retro consoles. I DO play some rocket league, and Diablo 4 on my PC only because the kiddos tend to "consume" the TV's a lot.

My R7 X1700 XT CPU and GTX 1080 GPU are more than enough for that. My monitors are only 1080p so it's fine. I did upgrade from my cheaper Sata 3 SSD to a 1TB PCI-E NVME SSD about a year ago.

I've often thought about rebuilding or replacing. But it just keeps doing what I need. So I keep running it. It's been running a little "buggy" and I've recently had to relocate my home office. In doing so, I did the long overdue "blow out" of the insides. Yeah, no wonder. The heatsinks and fans were CAKED. I too have become my clients 😅

I wish Dell still made those mid 2010's chassis optiplex machines. Those things were so so reliable once you got rid of the WD Blue spinning drive. I swear I could drag one behind my truck down the highway and not hurt it. Not insanely cramped inside to work in. And they must have sold a billion of em because they were so reasonably priced second hand.
