Got 30 inches here in Ocean County NJ. My street hasn't seen a single plow since the snow started. Pretty much taking an unexpected vacation from work. The street has 5ft snow drifts, not even the best 4WD trucks would be able to drive down it.

Your in ocean county too? Lakewood (brick border) here. I'm stuck at my grandmothers house because on Christmas we had a family reunion at a catering hall and she had one too many egg nogs ;) so I had to drive her home in east Brunswick. As a result I'm snowed in until the streets are just a touch safer. Speaking of which, we got about 2 feet here, 4 with drifts...I didn't think we got that much back home though...

Brick got 27 inches.

Barely gotten 2" since the first snow fall. Niagara region's not known for it's snow falls. That, plus our street is where the plows turn around so we get plowed immediately (and, sometimes, plowed in).

About 2 weeks ago, the roads were too bad in Scarborough for about 2 days, but it did not affect me customers were very happy just to use Remote Support.

This is the time of year where I wish I lived in a cool place (no pun intended) where it snows.

I'm still stuck at grandmas and I have clients I can't get to and jobs in que at home. I really don't think you would enjoy this...:(

You call that a storm? where i live that is just a normal snowfall most snowfall we had here is 4ft of snow, the house i was living in was the snow was touching the edge of the roof all the way around the house.
When i opened the door which swung in, the snow was above the screen door i had to use a metal bucket scoop the snow heat it up on the stove and poured it down the drain.
They used mining equipment equipped with snow removal gear to clear the roads the banks touched the phone lines.

The thing is that were not usually prepared for this kind of storm, throw in combination that the governor and vice? Governor has taken leave for vacation leaves us with some guy who's not exactly suitable for handling the cleanup job.

For you guys 4' of snow for a storm is normal, but for us 4' of snow a year is actually above normal.

Not sure why everyone is ragging on the Gov. it wouldn't of made a lick of difference how fast county and municipal governments got the roads cleared and besides whatever commissioner was in charge was still here, that's his job. Also I remember the 1996 storm which is comparable to this one and the roads didn't get cleared for a couple days after that one as well. It was just impossible for the plows to stay on top with the amount of snow and then wind recovering the major road ways as soon as the plows past and by the time the snow stopped to get to secondary roads, the snow the plows couldn't push through or if they could there was no where to push the snow, now a lot of streets are waiting on front end loads to dig them out.

People look for someone to blame, so blame the guy who's in charge, even more so when said person isnt there to manage. Really and truthfully I'm still stuck in E. Brunswick only because the roads back home aren't cleared yet. I'm gonna leave tomorrow though...I hope
