Huh, eerie... Most of that is the same that I do to rip my collection to my server. Minus all the automation of course, and mine is on Windows 7, not Linux. MakeMKV to get the initial rip - Check. Handbrake to transcode to a more usable and smaller file - Check. Emby to serve up my collection - Check.
