Marshall Michigan gives ISP's walking papers

Boy, Its about time! I get so tired of Comcrap and AT&T (havent thought of a good one for them yet) just treating customers like *hit because they can. They basically own the markets. What is worse is that the Fed and local governments let them.

The most common phrase I hear when two of these giant companies decide to merge is "This will help us provide better service to the customers". What a crock of *hit.

Don't you guys have regulatory bodies that control what these companies can and cant do?
Here we have the ACCC, (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) who have authority to veto or block companies from becoming a monopoly.
Recently, Adam Internet were up for sale and Telstra put in a bid of $50 million, but were blocked by the ACCC because it would have given Telstra an "unfair advantage" in South Australia. Adam were eventually sold to iiNet. (3rd largest ISP behind Telstra and TPG).

Oh ya! All the big mergers have to go through anti-trust scrutiny by the feds. AT& T and Time Warner just finished being approved and it was a bit of a surprise.
