iPhone LCD test unit

Anyone who is repairing iPhone LCD screens, what is your method of testing LCD screens?

From my research there isn't much out there. Most testers are from China, which... Is ok. But before I purchase something i wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on how to test the LCD screens.

I don’t do mobile repairs anymore. But when I did I just used the phone. Take the old screen out, hook up the new screen and battery. turn it back on if it works turn turn it off, pull the battery and wrap it back up with the new screen.

But then again we bought the screen assembly, not just the glass.
