Situation:
I've got a recycled DV7-4285dx that keeps simulating an intermittent "page down" keystroke both before and inside Windows 7.
I've got a G6-1c62us keyboard that I tried plugging into the ZIF connection, but it does not detect it whatsoever. Are ZIF cables universal?
I just need to determine if I need to order just the keyboard or the frame as well. (The one with the frame is coming from China.)
Thanks for your time folks .

- Bios has been reset to default
- Bios is up to date (F.29)
- Keyboard itself has been blown out with air
- ZIF cable is intact and all other keys function perfectly
