We're getting more and more calls over the past 2 weeks from frantic customers regarding their online bank accounts and the bank calling them and telling them they got hacked. I check their machines and there's a new Zues trojan horse variant out...slipping past lots of antivirus brands....Kaspersky, Panda, Eset so far. Customers all admitting it came in via e-mail..and they clicked on the link! Most recent e-mail was one spoofed from Apple regarding their Apple Store account being past due for 3,800 bucks. I ask the lady if she has an Apple Store account...and she says "No". So I'm like..."OK...so why did you click on the e-mail?"

...sorta like that commercial on TV about scams and the older guy claiming he won the Australian lottery and his wife asks him if he's ever been there to enter it and he says "No".....

Again, thanks for the heads up. Virus work has been down lately, but hardware has been insane. Hope I can pick up some removals.

Ive been having a problem with the one that I have not identified yet. But it displays a bunch of overlay boxes telling the customer that their hard drive has encountered errors. Locks everything out -task manager menu comes up but no option for task manager, Safe mode is not an option in the F8 menu, Will not allow any anti-virus install. Then of course the icons are all gone.

On that one I remove the drive and check it from a host system. Then reinstall and run Rkiller and do a second scan.
