Xerox Network Printer-Work Stations to Not Responding When Printing

Yes Originally when the problem started all the workstations where setup this way. I switch it all over to the server to see if that would help. It's a weird issue because all of the workstations 4-6 depending on the mobile employees started having the same issue on the same day but all the workstations had their own individual drivers at the time. That is why I spend so much time troubleshooting the network because that was all they had in common except for server (DNS / AD).

I totally missed this. :o

So printing direct from your laptop is ok but via the network but direct isn't?

Ok, so the same either way. Did you clear out the print Q folders according to the link nlinecomputers posted. You cannot just make sure the print Q folders are empty. You must stop the service and then delete those spooler folders. The folder have some special properties so deleting them and re-creating them does make a difference.

I don't think so but I wont rule anything out. I have attached 2 SS one is the client list from the router that handles the DHCP its the only router. The other is from the DNS manager on the server. I have made sure DHCP is off on the server. I have also excluded the static IPs of both there printers on the router to ensure they wont be given out.

I plugged the laptop into the xerox with a crossover cable and was able to print without issue.

I can also print without issue from the server itself which is going through the switch and router.

It's only when the laptops are going through the network and the workstations hardwired that are having the not responding issue.
