I have a client with an intenet cafe with 20 computers
some win 7 and some win 10.
I need to setup a way that will wipe all usrr changes at each boot. People regularly don't sign out their accounts and leave private stuff on the desktop and downloads.
I am using toolwiz timefreeze as deepfreeze is expensive but with windows and antivirus updates I would rather not freeze the system.
Anyone have a solution to just wipe the user?
Thx
Jo

Deep Freeze is worth it. It's pretty much set and forget. And you don't need an anti-virus, maybe do windows updates every 6 months or so.

thanks for the advice, i tried freezing the system with different programs and just have random problems.
mice not working at boot, frozen kiosk login, stuck computer and other random problems accross the 20 computers. some of them some of the time. the kiosk software company wont help me other than to say i need to unfreeze the systems.
seems that the kiosk software doesnt play well on a frozen system.

so i am left with an idea to reset the user at each boot.

anyone have any ideas? i need to delete new files in the user and also internet login info and history on chrome, ie and edge.
win 7 and win 10

thanks a lot for any help.

shadow defender is great but i am having issues probabaly because of the kiosk program that kicks in as soon as the comp boots up.

Perhaps you need to set some exclusions, for folders, files and registry entries for kiosk application that need to be refreshed and updated no matter what on every reboot. By doing this you're doing punching lil holes but they won't compromise your security and the goal of freezing your pcs state. Play with SD, it's great.

Have you had a look at "OneDeploy?"
From their website:
"No matter the size of your IT estate, OneDeploy can deploy a standardised Operating System on to any hardware and across multiple sites. With none of the usual setup and maintenance friction usually associated with Windows deployments, OneDeploy can have you up and running in 20 minutes."

Not sure if this would be a solution, but might pay to check it out?

i did that, i even unfroze all of prog files, prog files 86 and progdata
but still having random problems when in shadow mode.
i might have found a fix by disabling the pagefile.
ill give it a couple of days to see the results.

Hint: If FastBoot is on turn it off. This way the machine will really do a full shutdown and refresh files on every start up.

i know, fast boot is microsofts answer for impatient people willing to use an OS that usually works most of the time.
